Antitrust
The firm's antitrust practice is headed by William "Buck" Farmer. Mr. Farmer is a former Assistant Chief of the Antitrust Division in San Francisco. Since he left the Antitrust Division, Mr. Farmer has handled and supervised many antitrust matters for private companies, both domestic and foreign. Buck has a track record of success in antitrust jury trials and in litigation strategies designed to obtain favorable early exits from large scale expensive litigation. He also represents clients in connection with investigations conducted by the Antitrust Divisions of the U.S. Justice Department and the California Attorney General's Office. These investigations have run the gamut from criminal price-fixing investigations to civil investigations of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Other attorneys at the firm have experience in numerous antitrust cases, both at this firm and when previously employed by other large firms having antitrust practices.
